Description
This lovely mandolin was made in Bluff City, Tennessee by Eddie Blevins in 2017. It has that sweet oval-hole tone and plays super easy. It is set up with flatwound strings. It is also a pretty instrument, with flame maple and tortoise binding all over. A K&K pickup is installed for those times you wish to plug into your favorite amplifier. The mandolin has holes on the side of the neck for a pickguard. There is no pickguard with the mandolin. Looking at Eddie’s website, we’re not seeing any of his mandolins with one, so maybe one was added at one point. Naturally, where the pickguard would be, there is a little pick wear on the top. The mandolin has been well taken care of, but looking close at the right angle, there are very faint scratches in the finish from cleaning. There are a few tiny gaps between the fingerboard and it’s binding at the end of the fingerboard (see the photo with the pick wear). The binding isn’t loose there, just shrinkage. This mandolin is in very good condition, plays great, sounds great, looks great. You want it. It also comes with a really nice Crossrock hard case.
