Description

A nice Kay tenor banjo from the 1950’s or 1960’s.  We gave this a setup and new strings getting it ready for you.  It has mostly just normal light play wear. There are some tiny dings and scratches on the resonator’s back.  The original nuts to hold the resonator on are gone and hex nuts have been put in their place. Some light tarnishing of the metal parts exists. There was likely a Kay label on the headstock, as there is evidence of light sanding there. Nice action and a nice tone.  If you ever wish to change the action, this is one of the banjos with the tilt adjustable neck wedge, which makes doing so easy.  Overall, this instrument is in very good condition and comes with a chip case.
