Lakeside guitars first appeared around 1910. Lakeside was one of many brands marketed by Lyon and Healy of Chicago. This one is likely from the 1920’s. It has the dry tone you’d expect from a ladder braced guitar from this era, wonderful and great for fingerstyle blues, etc. The guitar has had repairs in it’s life, including top crack repairs, a back seam repair and typical scratches and dings. The endpin has also been pushed all the way in it’s hole causing small cracks there, again repaired. The guitar has nice action and plays really well. It is strung with silk and steel strings. Overall, it is in great used condition and comes with a chip case.
