Description
A nice West German made full-size violin. Made in Mittenwald by E.R. Pfretschner in 1964. It came to the US and was adjusted and sold by the Roth Violin Shop in Cleveland. There is a repaired headstock crack. It has Caspari Patented geared tuners on the instrument. However, they are working as friction tuners. The violin has light normal wear, except under the tailpiece, where adjusters/strings marked up the top. It is set up nicely and plays easily. It has a good, slightly compressed tone. The endpin is one of those cool pitch pipe ones in ‘A.’ This listing is for the violin only. It does not come with a chinrest, bow or case. It is in very good condition overall.
