Description

This Angelus round neck resonator guitar was made by Regal, when Regal owned Dobro. A great sounding guitar! This model doesn’t have a serial number and was made from mid 1933-1936. 12 frets, clear of body, slotted headstock, V-shaped neck. The guitar’s action is a tad high, 5/32″ at the 12th fret. The neck has a little relief, when sighted down it, a little more so on the low-e string side. The back of the headstock has an old repair. It’s a wedge that goes edge to edge. Not sure why this was done. Perhaps it leaned up against a lot of stuff, got chewed up and replaced? It looks like the whole instrument has been refinished in some way. The center of the back of the neck has some impressions. The back has wear and finish drips. The bridge cover’s middle is bent lower than it’s sides. Other than that, it’s just light wear. Overall, this guitar is in very good condition.
