This dulcimer will be great for a new student! It’s layered wood construction makes it a very sturdy and durable instrument. It is a 6 string instrument, but we have it set up as a 4 string, which is how it was when we got it. (The nut spacing isn’t quite right to use as a 6-string.) We did some fretwork to this and restrung it, getting it ready for you. It plays easily and has a tone that will inspire the player to want to play! A sticker on it’s neck shows that it once was sold at the defunct The Dulcimer music store in North Carolina. It has normal wear from play to it and some reglued seams and is in very good condition. It comes with a feather lite case.
