Albani Tyrolian 4/4

$5,500.00

Description

This is a truly amazing instrument!  It has rich, smooth tone and would make for a great soloist instrument.  It is in fantastic condition considering it’s age, with evidence of some old world repairs.  There is a zig zag wood splice by the bass side f-hole.  We worked on the tuner holes some and glued up some seams.  It is unknown what all has been done to this instrument during it’s long life. The purfling looks to be scratched on, not an inlay. There is wear and tiny dings, of course, mainly around the edges, but this is in great condition overall.

The interior label reads Albani fils de Mathais, Bolzano 1702.

It features: a one piece back, no curl slab cut.  Wide grain top.  Large F holes.  95% original varnish, brown in color.   The body length is 351mm.  The upper bout is 160mm.  the lower bout is 199mm.  It’s rib depth is 28mm.

It comes with a full appraisal.  Please inquire if you have any questions.  This is a great instrument which you will really love!
