A great Japanese-made banjo from the 1970’s. Most likely by Matsomoku. It has a bold tone and is a lot of fun to play. We did some set up to it and put on fresh strings. In the past, a pickup system was installed. It was more of a guitar style one with an under saddle pickup that was added to it (it’s taped under the bridge on the inside of the pot. It’s preamp was attached to the backside of the resonator. The 1/4″ output jack is located on the side of the resonator. The 5th string tuner has glue or some type of epoxy as filler, to hold it in. There is normal light wear throughout, but nothing bad. This fun banjo is in very good condition and comes with a hard case.
