Description
A lovely sounding mountain dulcimer. Made by Bill and Lora Berg in Equality, Illinois and dated 2-18-82 on it’s label. A cute hourglass design, with a small waist. The woods…we are pretty sure the top and back are cherry, sides possibly but could be sycamore, walnut is used for fingerboard and headstock strips, fingerboard looks like oak. 5 strings, with double courses for both the low and high D’s, with the low D being octaves and the high D being in unison. It has normal play wear for a 40 year old dulcimer, some staining of the wood down by where the strings attach and a crack, again down where the strings attach, which has had glue worked into it. The bridge saddle is a little small for it’s slot and there are wedges to hold it in. Overall, this nice dulcimer is in very good used condition and comes with a cloth bag.
