Description

This is a really great lap steel. It’s P-13 pickup sounds really great. (Note, typically, P-13’s are warmer sounding and have less “bite” than say a P-90.) There is light wear to it, but nothing bad. Not everything is in the photos, but “the worst” is. This particular model is fairly rare, being only made for 2 years, 1941 and 42 and is rather collectable. The tuner buttons might be original, as they have some slight cracking going on, but they aren’t shrunken either. One tuner is bent, but functions just fine. So perhaps they were replaced, a while ago and have aged. The control knobs are slightly different. They are the same, but one is brownish and the other black. Perhaps the right hand rested on it during play and the material aged? Maybe one was replaced? Huge steel nut and bridge leads to fabulous tone! It comes with it’s original Geib case, a really stiff chipboard case, nice. This instrument is in very good condition and is ready to make it’s next owner very happy!
