Description
The Gibson J-185 is a legendary “small-body” jumbo acoustic guitar first introduced in 1951. Designed as a more compact and playable alternative to the massive SJ-200, it is highly regarded for its exceptional tonal balance across the low, mid, and high frequencies. Positioned between the SJ-200 and smaller models, it features a Sitka spruce top, flame maple back and sides, and a 24.75″ scale length. The standard modern version captures the early 50s spirit. It features a solid Sitka spruce top, flame maple back and sides, and an LR Baggs VTC pickup system for stage use. This is a lightly used guitar. It has a little light wear that didn’t show up well in photos. It’s all small, hard to see stuff that you need to hunt for. The guitar plays and sounds great acoustically or plugged in. It is in very good+ condition and comes with it’s original hard case.
