Description

This is an amazing guitar! Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1948. It has a “Custom” truss rod cover, which isn’t original.  We examined the old crack repairs and worked glue into anything suspect. There are crack repairs on the top, back, and sides by both the neck and tail blocks. The sides down by the end block stick out a little over the binding in a couple of spots. There is no movement to them and are solid. We made a few adjustments to it and put on fresh strings. The frets have been replaced at some point and really don’t have any wear to them. A strap button has been put onto the neck’s heel. Another strap button was removed from a different spot and filled, on the neck heel. The tuners have been replaced and are now gold Grovers. The tailpiece tension adjustment insert is missing. They have been on there a while and the gold plating is worn. And, of course, there is some scratches, dings, cracks in the binding, all normal things, but none of which is really bad. The top and side area where your right arm goes over it is worn and a little discolored. The bridge looks original, but one or both of the posts may have been replaced. This is a beautiful guitar and it sounds as good as it looks! BIG, full and powerful tone! The fantastic guitar comes with it’s original case (who’s hinges are unattached).
