Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer Made in Japan, looking at the serial number and comparing it to others, we believe this is an early one made in the early 1980’s. The original vintage Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer Made in Japan (produced from 1981 to 1985) is a legendary analog overdrive pedal featuring the iconic lime-green enclosure, classic Drive, Tone, and Level controls, and often the coveted JRC4558D op-amp chip (this one does not have that chip). Analog overdrive designed by Susumu Tamura, famous for a prominent midrange boost that pushes guitar amplifiers into rich saturation.
