Description

A true classic! The M-1 was Kay’s second most-popular model and was made from 1937 until 1969. The serial number shows that it was made in 1946 (according to kaybass.com). Big, powerful tone. The bass is set up well and plays and sounds great. It has some stickers for position markers on the fingerboard. A passive The Realist pickup is installed. The bass has some normal wear and dings to it, but is really in great shape for being 80 years old! The neck’s heel has a thin crack that has had glue worked into it and is a non problem. The original tailpiece has a crack on the low string side, which also has had glue worked into it. This bass is in very good condition and comes with a bow and a gig bag.
