Description

This nice Silvertone mandolin was made in Chicago, by Kay sometime in the 1950’s or 60’s. This popular mandolin was sold under several brand names, including Kay, Old Kraftsman, Silvertone and others. We reset the neck (there is a tiny gap at the very end of the heel, just the way it worked out), did some setup, restrung and cleaned her up. It plays and sounds great! It’s also in amazing condition, with not much wear at all. The fingerboard has some marks and a tiny hole, neither affect how it plays. The tailpiece cover/arm rest has some light pitting to the finish. There is other normal light wear, nothing major and a little finish checking. In very good + condition and comes with a chip case.
