Description
A cool, early Supertone banjo. Supertone banjos were generally made by Rettburg and Lange for sale at Sears department stores during the 1910s thru the 1920s. This one has violin style friction tuners, so it’s an earlier one than later ones with other tuners. We did some set up to it and put on new nylgut strings. The banjo has a great old-timey tone. It is also set up right and plays easily. This banjo has the “metal clad” type design, which also serves as a tone ring. The banjo has normal wear and tear and tarnished metal parts. Overall, this is a solid instrument, waiting for a new player. It is in very good condition. No case
