Description

A fun banjolele from most likely the 1920s. It is unlabeled, but was 99% made by Harmony in Chicago during the 1920’s. (This style of uke (with its inline tension hoop and head and no hooks) was generically called “California style” in the late 1910s in catalogs.) It’s been restrung with new Martin strings. It plays easily, with proper action and has a nice sound, very old timey! It has normal wear all around and the original skin head has been folk-art painted (A lot of them were) and the head has been signed. The original friction tuners have cracks, but work just fine. This nice little banjo uke is in very good condition, just looking for a new owner. No case.

  • Soprano banjolele
  • Mahogany body and neck
  • 6″ skin head
  • 13″ scale length
  • 1 3/16″ nut width
