Description
The Weber Sweet Pea is a compact, handcrafted travel mandolin built by Weber Acoustic Instruments in Montana, featuring a full-scale neck on a miniature body designed for easy packing and practice on the go. Because the sound chamber is small, the sound is lighter, quieter, and emphasizes trebles with limited bass response compared to a full-sized instrument. But it is a nice and pleasant tone. Despite the tiny body, the neck dimensions match a traditional mandolin so your fretting hand feels right at home. And with it’s size, you can take it anywhere. It’ll easily fit in a suitcase, etc. They are made with one piece of maple for the body and neck. Other woods are flame maple for the fretboard, spruce for the top and a piece of maple on the headstock’s face. Set up with 10’s and ready to go! There is a tad bit of relief to the neck, mostly on the side with the G string. The top has a very slight dip at the sound hole (pretty much, all of them do). This fun instrument is in very good condition and comes with it’s original strap and gig bag. The ultimate travel mandolin!
