| Music Folk proudly presented IBMA Guitarist of the Year, Jim Hurst, for a Huss & Dalton Guitar clinic recently. A Huss & Dalton endorsee, Jim does a select few of these appearances each year, so we were very excited to have a musician of this calibre in the store showing off one of our favorite guitar lines. Jim’s appearance was a combination of Huss & Dalton clinic, discussion about his style and techniques, plenty of Q &A, but most importantly a healthy dose of flatpicking and fingerstyle playing. The sizeable crowd seemed very pleased both with the evening’s performance but Jim’s winning personality and charm. And considering this was a FREE event, you missed a good one! |

Jim spent the early part of the evening talking about the quality of construction and superior tone that Huss & Dalton guitars provide for him on stage or in the studio. |
 |
Jim took a lot of questions ranging from practice methods to exploring alternate tunings to pure flatpicking tenchniques |
 |
Of course, the best part was hearing the man play! |

Many of our employees made time on a Saturday night to see this one. Pictured from left to right are Pete Buncher, Lindsey Smith, and Charlie Halloran. |

Jim stayed late to sign autographs, talk, and just hang out. Here’s a picture of Jim and one of our owners, Don Ploof. |
